Event Description:

The FLCC Financial Aid Office is giving families an opportunity to learn more about New York State’s first-in-the-nation program that will grant free SUNY tuition to qualified students. The Excelsior Scholarship will be phased in by New York State over the next three years. It will be available this fall for households making up to $100,000 annually; up to $110,000 in 2018, and up to $125,000 in 2019 and beyond.

Following the Excelsior information session, the Financial Aid Office will be hosting a FAFSA filing workshop to help students and their parents complete the 2017 – 2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (a requirement for Excelsior Scholarship eligibility). A financial aid counselor will be available to assist in the filing process as well as answer general questions relating to your application.
